Speakers will include Chief Constable Simon Chesterman, firearms lead with the National Police Chiefs’ Council, Hugh Davies KC, who specialises in fatal police shootings and deaths in custody, and representation from the IOPC.
The seminar will include a detailed case study of a vehicle fire rescue, examining the role of the Post Incident Manager (PIM), the provision of legal support, and engagement with the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) following a high-risk incident involving exceptional bravery, a fatality, and subsequent independent investigation.
