We were delighted to host a powerful discussion in honour of International Women’s Day, exploring the challenges and progress in policing for women.

Agenda:
🔹 Breaking Barriers: Sue Honeywill, our Women’s Group Chair, and Mel Warnes our Acting Deputy National Secretary discussed the obstacles still faced by female police officers and the initiatives driving positive change.

🔹Misogyny in Policing: We took a critical look at how far we’ve come in tackling misogyny within the police force—and the work that remains joined by Chief Inspector Lizzie Jones.

🔹 Personal Resilience: We heard from Emma Arthurs, a nominee for the Outstanding Contribution to Women’s Policing award as she shared her journey with breast cancer and its impact on her career.
