There are currently 1.08 million people in debt to loan sharks in England - a growing issue with serious criminal implications.

This webinar, delivered in partnership with STOP LOAN SHARKS, will explore the benefits of collaboration with the organisation to achieve our shared goal of tackling illegal money lending.

Police forces across the country work closely with STOP LOAN SHARKS to gather intelligence, coordinate operations, and execute warrants and arrests. Illegal money lending is a serious criminal offence, often linked to other crimes such as blackmail, assault, fraud, and, in some cases, more severe offences including threats to kill, kidnap, or rape. Investigations have also uncovered drugs, firearms, and counterfeit goods during raids on suspected properties.

This 90-minute webinar will also provide details of free training available to frontline officers, designed to help identify the signs of illegal money lending and support victims effectively
