Tim Rogers

A former traffic officer and road death SIO with West Midlands Police, Tim is the Police Federation’s national lead for police pursuits and driver training. He spearheaded the Federation’s eight-year campaign for a change to legislation to give police drivers better protection in law, highlighting how officers were facing criminal and conduct proceedings simply for doing the job they were trained to do.

Having delivered the campaign’s aims through legislative change within the Police, Crime, Sentencing and Courts Act 2022, Tim has dedicated himself to ensuring the legislation itself delivers and that force driving schools, chief officers and Subject Matter Experts are fully compliant with the law. Tim is also secretary of the West Midlands Police Federation branch.
