Stuart Noble
Retired Chief Superintendent - Director Police Leavers Partnership
Stuart Noble has 30 years of policing experience, retiring as a Chief Superintendent in 2020. Throughout his career, he held a variety of roles and had the privilege of serving as Chair of his local branch of the Police Superintendents’ Association (PSA) during his final years. It was in this role that he became acutely aware of the challenges officers face as they approach retirement. With no structured support in place, many colleagues experienced heightened anxiety and uncertainty about their future as they prepared to leave an organisation that had shaped much of their lives. While still in service, Stuart worked closely with Dr Ceri Jones, a Chartered Psychologist, to develop initiatives aimed at supporting officers in this transition.
Together, they have delivered programmes such as Resilient Senior Leaders (RESLEAPS) and Successful Transition and Retirement (STAR), while also supporting the National Police Wellbeing Service (NPWS) / Oscar Kilo in developing the Police Leavers Toolkit and the National Police Leavers Survey. More recently, Stuart and Ceri co-founded the Police Leavers Partnership, which provides officers and staff at all ranks with the support, skills, and tools needed to leave policing well. Working closely with key staff associations—including the Police Federation of England and Wales (PFEW), the Police Superintendents’ Association of England and Wales (PSAEW), and the Chief Police Officers’ and Staff Association (CPOSA)—they have developed a deeper understanding of officers needs and now apply the latest technology and AI to enhance their programmes.
Combining their years of experience and expertise, Stuart and Ceri are passionate about helping officers resettle after policing, enabling them to move forward into the next chapter of their lives with confidence and purpose.
