Simon has been a federation representative since 2011 with a background as a Roads Policing Officer since 2006.
He was elected to Frontline Policing Secretary for the Met Police Federation in 2018 and the Deputy General Secretary in 2021. He has retained the Roads Policing portfolio for the branch throughout his time as a rep.
Simon has influenced many roads policing policies in the Met during his time as a rep, most notably the reintroduction of Tactical Pursuit & Containment.
