Simon Conner

Simon is responsible for the Risk and Contingency Management Unit and Testing and Exercise Team.

Within Risk and Contingency, he works to prepare and produce contingency plans and packs for strategic and iconic locations inside the MPS, including locations within the Government Security Zone and further afield. These packs are designed to aid first responders in having a better appreciation of the challenges and layouts of premises when responding to serious incidents.

The Testing and Exercise team prepares and facilitates a wide range of exercises to both internal MPS organisations and external partners to stress test procedures and contingencies, allowing organisational learning to develop a more joined-up response and identify gaps in current working practices.

Simon is an accredited National Firearms Instructor, Post Incident Manager, Tactical Firearms Commander, Tactical Advisor, and Operational Firearms Commander. NEBOSH H&S Business Continuity Practitioner.
