The Rt Hon Chris Philp MP

Chris was first elected as the Member of Parliament for Croydon South in 2015, and was re-elected in 2017, 2019 and 2024.

He serves as Shadow Home Secretary, having been appointed by Leader of the Conservative Party, Kemi Badenoch, in November 2024, having served as Shadow Leader of the House of Commons since the 2024 General Election.

Prior to that, he was a government minister for five years, including serving as Technology Minister and two years as Minister of State for Crime, Policing and Fire.

Before his election, Chris set up and ran a number of businesses and charities, experience that he wanted to bring to Parliament.
