Paul Buckle

I joined the Metropolitan Police Service (MPS) in January 1994, as a police staff Physical Training Instructor and became Head of Physical Education in 2002. Throughout my time in the MPS I was actively involved in police fitness testing and have been involved, in one way or another, in all police fitness testing research projects from 1995 to 2022.

I became a member of the Fitness Testing Working Group at its inception in 2003 and since my early retirement from the MPS in 2013 have continued to sit on the group representing the Federation, as their fitness advisor.
