Nick Simmons

CEO - RoadPeace

Nick’s first job was as a traffic reporter, working for the Automobile Association. He ended up running the AA Roadwatch operation with responsibility for the emerging telematics sector and representing the AA on various pan European R&D projects.

 

In 1997, he joined technology start-up ITIS. The company floated on AIM in 2000 and pioneered “black box” vehicle tracking technology as well as Floating Vehicle Data, becoming a leading supplier of traffic information and vehicle security services across Europe.

 

In 2007 ITIS was acquired by INRIX, a US based technology business spun out of Microsoft and a leading global supplier of traffic data. Nick was appointed Vice President and General Manager, Media and charged with developing key markets including the US, UAE, China and Australia.

 

In 2018, Nick was appointed CEO at RoadPeace, the national charity for road crash victims that provides support for those bereaved or injured in road crashes and campaigns to reduce road danger.
