Mark Brooks OBE
Senior Communications and Policy Advisor - Men's and Boys
Mark is a sector leader and thought leader in the fields of men and boys’ policy, research and support delivery. He has received an OBE and an Honorary Doctorate for his work in these fields.
He is currently the Director of Policy and Communications for the newly formed research organisation – Centre for Policy Research on Men and Boys (https://www.menandboys.org.uk). He is also the chair of trustees for the ManKind Initiative charity for male victims of domestic abuse, a co-founding trustee of the Men and Boys Coalition charity and a national ambassador for International Men’s Day UK. He has been the policy adviser of the All Party-Parliamentary Group on Issues Affecting Men and Boys, since it formed in 2021. He has held director-level communication roles at two national charities.
He regularly appears in the media, works with Government/public bodies/employers and has recently published well-received written policy reports on ‘missing men’, male suicide, boys’ education and a men’s health strategy. His website is https://www.mark-brooks.co.uk
