John Bassett
Barrister, President of the National Association of Legally Qualified Chairs
John has been the President of the National Association of Legally Qualified Chairs (NALQCs) since February 2020, and an LQC since its introduction in 2016.
Currently appointed to four regions (Southeast, Eastern, Northeast and Wales), John covers a total of 22 police force areas.
He represents NALQC on the PAB (EW) Discipline Sub-Committee, and is a member of 5 Essex Court Chambers, having practised as a barrister in police discipline for 16 years before semi-retiring in 2018.
