Jen Sharpling
Police Sergeant - Metropolitan Police
Jen joined the Met in 2005 as a CAD Operator, becoming an officer in 2008. Jen is the Co-Founder of #BleepKind, a National Peer Support Network for officers and staff who are required to have levels of fitness for their role and complete a Job Related Fitness Test endorsed by the NPCC.
Jen runs a peer support network in The Met for those impacted by Perinatal Mental Health issues and is the National Lead for Perinatal Mental Health in Policing which is a work stream under The National Family Support Group. She runs the National Team, working to ensure that there is support for all men and women in policing when it comes to Perinatal Mental Health. She also gives talks to raise awareness around the various conditions and speak about her personal journey as a police officer.
Jen is incredibly passionate about looking after the welfare of police officers and staff. She was also the winner of our Women in Policing Award in 2022.
Finally, and most importantly she is mum to four glorious boys.
