Jason Powell

Jason is the NPCC lead for Fleet and is currently focused on directing an advanced program aimed at creating and implementing national minimum standards for all aspects of police fleet management with a specific emphasis on repair and maintenance.

He has a 25-year background within the automotive industry and has been managing police fleets for over 16 years. He currently serves as the Deputy Director of Operational Support Services within the MPS and is responsible for the full life cycle management of the fleet.

He has a technical background, and track record of delivering transformative change within internal operations, and has successfully transitioned over 900 MPS vehicles to alternative fuels.

Jason has also been actively involved in national initiatives through NAPFM (National Association of Police Fleet Managers), previously chairing their Technical Committee, and working to enhance fleet safety by sharing best practices and integrating a national vehicle assurance process into all police fleet procurements, and ensuring the highest standards of safety and performance.
