Danny Shaw is a journalist and commentator on crime, policing and justice. He worked at the BBC for 31 years where, as home affairs correspondent, he covered the trials of Kenneth Noye, Barry George and Michael Stone, reported on the terror attacks of 2005 and 2017 and for two decades attended every Police Federation conference. Danny won the Legal Reporter of the Year Award four times, was a visiting lecturer in journalism at City University and also worked at the criminal justice consultancy, Crest Advisory. In the lead-up to the General Election, he served as an adviser to Labour MP Yvette Cooper, who was then the Shadow Home Secretary. He now provides media training and communications advice to a range of organisations.
