NARPO offers comprehensive welfare resources, guidance on pensions, second careers, and other entitlements, ensuring that leavers are equipped for the next chapter of their lives. In addition, NARPO fosters a strong sense of community among former officers, offering peer-to-peer advice and camaraderie that helps ease both the emotional and practical challenges associated with leaving the police service. With over 93,000 members across 105 branches, spanning all forces in England and Wales, NARPO provides an invaluable support network for those who have served, or are about to leave the police service. National Police Healthcare Scheme
Created by Police Officers in 1989, the Scheme is a self-funded and not-for-profit Trust which seeks to provide affordable and generous private healthcare cover for Police Officers, Police Staff, Police Federation Staff, Staff of Police bodies / organisations / charities, and their spouses/partners and children*. There is no limit on the number of claims which can be made and there is no annual financial limit**. Scheme membership also provides FREE access to the Police Treatment Centres for serving officers and staff. In addition, members have exclusive access to luxury holiday homes at not-for-profit rates. PNLD is the leading police information resource of criminal justice legislation containing a wide range of features to assist legal professionals throughout the criminal justice community. PNLD includes Acts of Parliament, Case Summaries and the National Standard Offence Wordings and Codes used throughout the court system of England and Wales.
Police Digital Service
The Police Digital Service (PDS) is the UK organisation responsible for coordinating, developing, delivering, and managing digital services and solutions that enable UK policing to safely harness technology to improve public safety. Funded by policing and the Home Office, PDS works with law enforcement organisations, private industry, charities, public bodies, and government to deliver digital services and solutions with policing, for policing. Ours is a team of experts in commercial services, technical assurance, data, digital transformation and innovation, with unique experience in policing and national programme delivery. Together with our public and private sector colleagues, we are driving several ‘in-flight’ national programmes.
National Centre for Domestic Violence (ncdv)
The National Centre for Domestic Violence was established in 2003 to help survivors of domestic violence and abuse obtain protection against an abuser, as well as offering services to the police, probation service, domestic abuse agency workers, the legal profession and judiciary. We specialise in providing free, fast and effective support to survivors of domestic abuse, usually by helping individuals obtain injunctions from their local county court.
